BELL TOWER UPDATE: BISHOP COTE BLESSES BELL (VIDEO) On Saturday, April 2, His excellency, Bishop Michael Cote, visited the Franciscan friary in Griswold, Ct. to bless the bell in the friary bell Tower. After a beautiful Mass celebrated by Bishop Cote, he and the friars and people processed over to the tower across from the church. This video catches the beautiful rite of blessing done by his excellency. After we all descended from the tower the bell was rung for the first time carrying the blessings that we know by faith radiate from a bell blessed by the local bishop. We are very grateful to Bishop Michael Cote for graciously coming to the friary for this special and important occasion. The friars are so pleased now to ring the bell and hear the blessed sounds that we pray will dispel evil spirits and reverberate many blessings to the town of Griswold and beyond. Thanks be to our Lord and Our Lady and St. Joseph for this final blessing on our bell tower!
BELL TOWER UPDATE: ELEVATION OF VIRGIN MARY STATUE ATOP TOWER Ave Maria! Friars and friends watch as the six-foot solid marble statue of the Virgin Mary is finally lifted, as if in another Assumption, forty-five feet in the air to Her final resting place atop the highest point of the Griswold bell tower.
BELL TOWER UPDATE: BELL HOISTED INTO TOWER Ave Maria! On October 12, after almost 10 years of construction, the bell tower at the Marian Friary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Griswold has finally received the 2600-pound bronze bell into its 3rd floor belfry.

Solemn Eucharistic Procession down the streets of Cambridge in Harvard Square. Hundreds join the police escorted procession, ending with over a thousand in St. Paul’s for a Holy Hour in response to the satanic “black” Mass that was to be held on campus. Fr. Clancy led the procession from the MIT Chapel to St. Paul Catholic Church. Fr. Michael Drea lead the Holy Hour attended by Bishop Arthur L. Kennedy, an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Boston, while students organized the petition drive that reached all around the world. Ave Maria!
